How we conquered The North Pole — without leaving the office

Today, we’re lifting the curtain to reveal what goes into creating the trip of a lifetime for school pupils from 22 countries around the world.
In March 2026, our team began work on the second season of the international educational competition “Icebreaker of Knowledge”
With an exceptionally tight turnaround, we:
💻 refined the design and content of the website, which served as the competition’s main platform;
📝 developed bilingual challenges for all three stages of the competition — a knowledge quiz, engaging webinars and a creative video introduction;
📊 ran a large-scale advertising campaign — read more about it in this article;
🔎 assembled a judging panel featuring leading figures from the nuclear industry, science and education.
But running the competition was just the beginning. Once the winners had been announced, we turned our attention to organising travel for the expedition participants, their accompanying adults and experts from their home countries. To make it happen, we:
🛩 mapped out detailed travel logistics, factoring in timings, connections and the complexities of international air travel
🏫 arranged comfortable accommodation and transfers in Moscow and Murmansk
🎡 put together a packed sightseeing programme for the participants’ final day in Russia
Yet the key to delivering such a complex project successfully wasn’t down to the logistics alone. It was giving participants continuous support every step of the way. That meant staying in touch by email throughout the competition, helping participants gather the documents they needed for the expedition, being there in person during their time in Moscow and Murmansk and, of course, stepping in quickly whenever the unexpected happened.
After hundreds of logistical arrangements, dozens of time zones and thousands of emails, the result speaks for itself. The Arctic gave its guests a warm welcome — because behind the scenes of this journey, not a single detail had been left to chance.
