Science festivals to take place in nine countries by the end of 2026

For many years, ANO Energy of the Future has been organising science festivals abroad for the benefit of Russia’s nuclear industry.

What is a Science Festival?
It is a forum where school pupils, university students and young scientists come together to discuss the present and future of technology, hear lectures by outstanding scientists and science communicators, and take part in interactive activities – quizzes, quests, science battles, themed games and discussions centred on science films. These events bring together participants who speak different languages, united by a shared goal: to explore the development of science and technology for a better future.

Crucially, each festival is put together like a jigsaw puzzle from a variety of themed elements, always tailored to the host country and designed to meet the needs of its audience.

From September to December, festivals will be held in nine countries:

• 8–11 September – Bolivia (La Paz)
• 23–24 September – Indonesia (as part of IRIFair Science Week)
• 30 September–2 October – Kazakhstan (Almaty, Astana and Ust-Kamenogorsk)
• 12–16 October* – India (Mumbai and Chennai)
• 28–29 October – Vietnam (Hanoi)
• 8–12 November – Egypt (Cairo, Giza and Alexandria)
• 16–20 November – Bangladesh (a science bus touring cities across the country)
• 23–27 November* – Myanmar (Naypyidaw and Yangon)
• 25–27 November* – Rwanda (Kigali)
