Science Festivals
Project challenges
Creating engaging, substantive festival programmes for different age groups that combine accessible science content with interactive formats and strengthen positive perceptions of Russia and Russian technology among international audiences.
Key challenges:
-
directly engaging school pupils and university students across different languages and cultures in active exploration of science and technology through accessible, visually compelling and scientifically rigorous formats that build interest in scientific fields and Russian technological solutions;
-
adapting educational content to the cultural characteristics and educational context of each country so that it feels natural to local audiences while highlighting the achievements and values of Russia’s nuclear and technology sectors;
-
delivering complex touring events in cities with different levels of infrastructure while maintaining high standards of quality, safety and appeal for participants and partners.
Implementation
-
We developed a modular festival format that lets us adapt themes, activities and audience engagement methods to each host country and participant profile.
-
We manage every stage of the project, from developing programmes for school pupils and university students and inviting speakers and influencers to creating interactive exhibitions and running games, quests and other engaging activities.
-
Partnerships with local universities, colleges, schools, event agencies and expert communities provided an in-depth understanding of how audiences in different countries perceive information and what they expect.
-
The festival format became a means of promoting Russia and Russian technology through a positive humanitarian and educational agenda, demonstrating openness to cooperation and encouraging interest in science and peace.
Results
-
Each festival attracts between 1,000 and 5,000 participants, ensuring broad reach and sustained interest from local educational communities.
-
In each country, the combined reach of each festival exceeds one million people across its in-person audience, media coverage and digital channels.
-
We created a scalable international science education event format that we can adapt to different countries and target audiences to build interest in science and Russian technology.
-
The festivals strengthened Russia’s image as an open and reliable technology partner by combining educational content with public engagement.
